Urgent: Germany's DAX index opens five percent higher on Wednesday

FRANKFURT, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Germany's benchmark DAX index opened five percent higher on Wednesday following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. The index rose to 24119 points in early trading, up five percent from the previous day.
