FRANKFURT, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 14.58 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 12,543.06 points.
European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero lost 2.14 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and energy group RWE which lost 1.37 percent and 1.30 percent respectively.
Sportswear and equipment maker Adidas gained 2.77 percent, becoming the top gainer. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and pharmaceutical company Merck advanced 2.39 percent and 2.32 percent respectively.
SAP was the most traded share with a turnover of 292.58 million euros (345.86 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 1.46 percent to close at 0.776 euros per share on Thursday.
